Turquoise glazed decorative bowl.
This bowl is coiled using stoneware clay and carved with a looped wire modelling tool to give a ‘fishscale’ surface and finished with a turquoise glaze. The top section is unglazed to show off the textural quality of the clay and to contrast the glossy glaze.

"This range of pots is loosely inspired by the shape of grain silos located on a farm near my home. 
Taking the initial image and turning it upside down, I then developed a range of pots which organically change shape as I build – I don’t have an exact shape in my mind when I start each piece".
